Head to head: Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have played 11 matches so far. Chennai leads the head to head record winning 7 matches and Rajasthan won 4 matches.

Chennai Super Kings: Chennai Super Kings is the most successful team of IPL. They are the only team not to be knocked out before semi-finals in any of the earlier IPL seasons. So far seeing their performance it doesn’t look like they won’t be going to the next round as well. They are performing really well and with a captain of Dhoni’s quality they can come back even from the dead end. In the last match they had beaten the defending Champion Kolkata Knight Riders quite easily by 4 wickets with 4 balls sphere. Ravindra Jadeja, Ashwin, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Morris, all bowlers picked up wicket except for Morne Morkel. So there is not much to worry about in bowling. In batting though they have something to worry. They tried something different by asking Ashwin to open the innings and shifting off form Murali Vijay to 2nd place. But both failed with bat. It was two good innings from Mike Hussy and Ravindra Jadeja who actually won the match for them. So other batsmen need to get back in form as well.

Rajasthan Royals: Rajasthan Royals have lost the last match to Bangalore. On the last match except for Dravid and Binny all other batsmen failed. They managed to score only 117 runs and for what bowlers couldn’t perform as well against Bangalore. Though bowlers couldn’t picked up wickets but they were economical against a batting lineup featuring Gayle, Dilshan, Kohli and Villiers. So thay would be satisfied with bowling that they forced Bangalore to bat 18 overs for just 118 runs. Sreeshanth and Tait were expensive on the last match giving away runs at more than 9 runs per over. So they need to be back on form so that they can give the side a good start.

Match will be played at Chennai at 8pm IST.
